How to select a domain name for your website?

One of the few most important tasks for setting up a successfull website is creating a relevant domain name which completely represents your idea, your business and your deliverables. In short the domain name you select needs to fit your venture.

Next point that you need to keep in mind whicle selecting a domain name is that it should be very easy to spell and easy to remember so that it gets easy for the users to find those domain names online and gets more easy fo ryou to promote it in online media.

There are a few check points that you need to keep in mind while selecting a domain name for your website:

1. It should be easy for your target audience to type the domain. How do you do that? Lets go through this example: http://www.fashionforyou.com and http://www.fashion4u.com. In this case sers will easily find the domain shared later as it does not inlcude any slangs. So this is a very important adwise for you that avoid using any slang so that your customers can find you online easily.
2. The domain name should be short. why? the longer the keyword, more get the chances of having more spelling mistakes. So you can not stop your users from commiting mistake, best way is to take precautions.
3. Keywords in domain name. Based on your business, please select a keyword and include it in the domain name. For eg. your business is related to reparing computers, so your domain name could be http://www.computerrepair.com
4. Area based targetting. You are bound to reap more benfits from your domain name if you include your target area too in that domain name. For eg.http://www.delhicomputerrepair.com
5. Dont use number.You can take the same example  of http://www.fashionforyou.com andhttp://www.fashion4you.com . People will be searching more the domian name which is mentioned later.
6. Create a domain name which is easy for people to remember. It should leave a mark in the brains of the people.
7. Domain name extension which you will use should be appropriate. for eg, companies use .co, in blogs you can use . me etc.
